Softball Recap: Mississinewa Indians vs. Alexandria-Monroe Tigers

Mississinewa lost a close one when they played last Saturday but unfortunately for them the defeat they were handed on Tuesday was a bit more commanding. They lost 10-2 to the Alexandria-Monroe Tigers. Mississinewa was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Alexandria-Monroe apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in May of 2023.

Amiyaa Parr-Inman was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-3 with a home run and two RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Allie Trejo, who scored a run while going 3-for-4.

On Alexandria-Monroe's side, Brynlee Humphries was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out eight batters over seven innings while giving up just two earned runs off seven hits (and only one walk). Humphries has been consistent recently: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts every time she's pitched this season. Humphries was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with an RBI.
