Basketball Recap: Jack Britt Buccaneers vs. Seventy-First Falcons

Jack Britt lost against Seventy-First back in February of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Jack Britt Buccaneers were dealt a 73-36 loss at the hands of the Seventy-First Falcons. The Buccaneers were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 39-16.

Several Buccaneers players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Julius Williams, who posted six points. Another player making a difference was Dominique Holsey, who went 6 of 14 en route to 12 points and five rebounds.

Even though they lost, Jack Britt smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 13 offensive boards. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Seventy-First only pulled down six offensive rebounds.

Seventy-First found their leader in sophomore Javon Foster, who had 23 points. Those 23 points gave Foster a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Julian Wilkerson, who put up ten points along with five rebounds and three steals.
