League recap: Myers overpowering for Ash Fork in past week

IV Section I league recap: 3/27/13

Ash Fork's Brian Myers was the best pitcher in IV Section I this week. He racked up 13 strike outs this week.

Jake Zieler was the hottest hitter in the league this week, racking up a .800 average, two home runs and nine RBIs. St. Johns compiled a record of 2-2 in that time.

Mogollon put seven runners on via walks this week, fewest in the league, but Seligman's staff still boasts the league's best control, having issued only 15 bases on balls over four total innings.

Although the 35 runs scored by the Redskins topped the league, Williams maintained its lead in the league with 164 runs this season.

15 batters hit over .400 this week. They were led by Jake Zieler, who hit .800 this week (8-for-10).



Joseph City's Robert Larsen led the league in strikeouts this week with 14. With 25 strikeouts this year so far, he ranks third in the league.

Larsen struck out 14 in the Wildcats' 13-1 win over Hopi on March 20. Over his six innings pitched he allowed one run on two hits.
