West Laurens is 1-9 against Dublin since December of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Saturday. The two teams will face off at 6:30 p.m. without much rest having both just played. West Laurens knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past seven contests -- so hopefully Dublin likes a good challenge.
West Laurens is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They really took it to Aquinas for the full four quarters, racking up a 79-28 win. The Raiders have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won three matches by 35 points or more this season.

West Laurens got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was RJ Whipple out in front who went 7 of 10 on his way to 15 points. The game was Whipple's fifth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Mark Fordham, who went 7 for 11 on his way to 17 points in addition to eight boards and three blocks.
West Laurens smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 11 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least ten offensive rebounds in four consecutive contests.
Meanwhile, Dublin put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They came out on top against Southwest by a score of 57-48. While the Fighting Irish didn't have the best season last year (they finished 12-16), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.
The match pitted two dominant guards against one another in Tristian Bell and Chase Dupree. Bell had a solid game and posted ten points and seven rebounds. Meanwhile, Dupree did his best for the losing side, putting up ten points.
Dublin pushed their record up to 6-0 with the win, which was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 69.0 points per game. As for West Laurens, their victory bumped their record up to 3-4.
Rebounding is likely to be a big factor in this contest: West Laurens has been smashing the glass this season, having averaged 31.2 boards per game. However, it's not like Dublin struggles in that department as they've been averaging 27.7 rebounds. With both teams battling to corral missed shots, we'll see if one team can grab an edge.
West Laurens lost to Dublin on the road by a decisive 74-59 margin in their previous meeting back in January. Can West Laurens avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
