Recap: St. Mary's Rams vs. Tracy Bulldogs
The St. Mary's Rams won the last time they faced the Tracy Bulldogs, and things went their way on Saturday too. St. Mary's enjoyed a cozy 69-52 win over Tracy. Given St. Mary's advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 37th, while Tracy is ranked 859th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
It was another big night for Daniel Huerta, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and ten rebounds. The contest was his 16th in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Cayden Ward, who scored 12 points along with five rebounds.
St. Mary's has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 13-3 record this season. As for Tracy, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-10.
St. Mary's will head out on the road to face off against Modesto Christian at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Modesto Christian is coming into the contest hot, having won their last eight games. As for Tracy, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Lodi at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
