Softball Recap: St. Teresa Takes a Loss

St. Teresa was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their 15th straight loss. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Warrensburg-Latham Cardinals. The Bulldogs were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Cardinals earlier this season, when they won 7-1.

St. Teresa saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Riley Boyer, who went 1-for-3 with one double.

St. Teresa's defeat dropped their record down to 6-20. As for Warrensburg-Latham, their victory bumped their record up to 12-9.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. St. Teresa will head out to challenge Peoria Notre Dame at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Warrensburg-Latham, they will venture away from home to face off against Pana at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
