Volleyball Recap: Lynn Classical Takes a Loss

If Lynn Classical was feeling good fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Lynn English on Wednesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Rams fell just short of the Woburn Memorial Tanners by a score of 3-2 on Thursday.

Lynn Classical started the match hot and won the first two sets, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The match finished with set scores of 23-25, 21-25, 25-21, 25-15, 15-13.

Despite the loss, Lynn Classical still got an impressive performance from Long Pham, who had 15 digs and three assists. Pham has been hot, having posted ten or more digs the last six times he's played.

Lynn Classical has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-3 record this season. As for Woburn Memorial, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-4 record this season.

Lynn Classical will take on Somerville at 11:15 a.m. on Tuesday. As for Woburn Memorial, they will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Burlington at 4:00 p.m. on the 29th.
