Softball Recap: R.J. Reynolds Takes a Loss

R.J. Reynolds was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 11th straight defeat. They came up short against the Glenn Bobcats, falling 16-1. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bobcats this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 26-1 back in March.

R.J. Reynolds saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kallie Witherow, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with two stolen bases and one RBI. That RBI was Witherow's first of the season.

R.J. Reynolds' loss dropped their record down to 1-17. As for Glenn, they now have a winning record of 10-9.

Looking ahead, R.J. Reynolds will be playing at home against North Forsyth at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Vikings have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 18.67 runs per game on average), something the Demons will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Glenn, they are taking a road trip to take on Mount Tabor at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
