Baseball Game Preview: Coral Springs Charter Panthers vs. Piper Bengals

The Coral Springs Charter Panthers are taking a road trip to take on the Piper Bengals at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Fans were treated to a battle of the Panthers on Friday. Coral Springs Charter fell 7-3 to Pine Crest. Coral Springs Charter has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Coral Springs Charter got a good showing from Vincent Campbell, who tossed four innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off three hits.

On the hitting side, Coral Springs Charter saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Julian Spinola, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-2. Nolan Mianowski also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

Meanwhile, Piper was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They took an 8-4 hit to the loss column at the hands of Varela. That's two games in a row now that the Bengals have lost by exactly four runs.

Piper's defeat dropped their record down to 9-5-1. As for Coral Springs Charter, they now have a losing record of 8-9.

Coral Springs Charter took their win against Piper in their previous meeting back in February of 2020 by a conclusive 25-0. Does Coral Springs Charter have another victory up their sleeve, or will Piper turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
