Basketball Recap: Kettle Falls Takes a Loss

Kettle Falls was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They were five points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 41-36 heartbreaker at the hands of the Newport Grizzlies. The Bulldogs were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Grizzlies earlier this season, when they won 64-54.

Kettle Falls' defeat dropped their record down to 4-13. As for Newport, their victory bumped their record up to 2-16.

Kettle Falls and Newport could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Washington Rankings. Kettle Falls (ranked 264th) will meet Northwest Christian School (ranked 65th) at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Newport will face off against St. George's at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday down 173 places (320 vs. 147).
