There's no place like home for Notre Dame, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Monday. They came out on top against the Whitney Point Eagles by a score of 7-2 on Wednesday. The Crusaders haven't had any issues with the Eagles recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive victory against them.

Sebastian Capriotti was excellent, going 2-for-3 with three RBI and one double. That's the most hits he has posted since back in May of 2024. Another player making a difference was Anthony Barkley, who went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases and two runs.

Notre Dame's win bumped their record up to 2-5. As for Whitney Point, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-6.

Coming up, Notre Dame will take on Moravia at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Whitney Point, they wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 15-3 defeat against Charles O. Dickerson on the 24th.
