Basketball Recap: Mancos Wins Going Away Against Lake City Community

Mancos had to kick off their season on the road on Friday, but they showed no ill effects. They blew past the Lake City Community 14ers 64-42.

James Potts was nothing short of spectacular: he dropped a double-double with 24 points and ten steals. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in assists (six). Miguel Derizotis was another key player, shooting 40% from the field en route to 21 points.

Coincidentally, Mancos and Lake City Community will both be playing Sargent the next time they take the court. The Bluejays will head out to face the Farmers at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, while the 14ers will play them later in the day, at 1:30 p.m.
