Santee hadn't done well against Winnebago recently (they were 0-7 in their previous seven matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Saturday. The Warriors came out on top against the Indians by a score of 2-0. The victory was some much needed relief for the Warriors as it spelled an end to their six-game losing streak.

While Santee might've won, it sure wasn't easy: Winnebago scored at least 21 points in every set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-21, 25-21.

Despite the loss, Winnebago had strong showings from Breezie Treglia, who had 11 digs, and Javianna Chavez, who had five digs.

Santee's win bumped their record up to 2-8. As for Winnebago, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-8 record this season.

Santee will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Boyd County on October 7. As for Winnebago, they have already played their next game, a 2-0 defeat against Omaha Nation on the 20th.
