Elizabeth Seton will head out on the road to square off against the Northern Patriots at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.

Elizabeth Seton came into Thursday's game having lost four straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. Everything went their way against The Academy of the Holy Cross on Thursday as Elizabeth Seton made off with a 10-1 victory. The win was just what Elizabeth Seton needed coming off of a 22-0 defeat in their prior contest.

Kimmya Sims made a big impact no matter where she played. She struck out 14 batters over seven innings while giving up just one earned run off four hits (and not a single walk). Sims was also big at the plate, getting on base in three of her five plate appearances with three RBI, two runs, and a triple.

In other batting news, Sydney Hall was a standout: she went 3-for-5 with four RBI, two doubles, and a run. Another player making a difference was Keagan Cooper, who went 2-for-4 with a triple, a double, and an RBI.

Meanwhile, Northern made easy work of Thomas Stone on Friday and carried off a 26-2 victory. The win was just what Northern needed coming off of a 12-2 loss in their prior match.

Like Elizabeth Seton, Northern also got a great game from a two-way player: Miranda Twigg. On the mound, she struck out 11 batters over five innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off one hit. Twigg was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs while going 1-for-5.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Delaney MacAulay, who went 4-for-5 with a home run, five RBI, and three runs. Izzie Helwig was another key contributor, going 3-for-3 with four RBI, a stolen base, and a double.

Elizabeth Seton made their fans wait, but they earned their first win of the season to make their record 1-3. As for Northern, the victory got them back to even at 1-1.
