Volleyball Recap: Joshua Owls vs. Cleburne Yellowjackets

Joshua entered their tilt with Cleburne on Friday with three consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with four. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 win over the Cleburne Yellowjackets. That's more bragging rights for the Owls, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Joshua took Cleburne into a fifth set where they got it done with a five-point win. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 22-25, 25-18, 25-14, 19-25, 15-10.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Joshua to victory, but perhaps none more so than Tyler Pool, who had 36 digs and three aces. Pool is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had ten or more in the last 14 games she's played dating back to last season. The team also got some help courtesy of Brynn White, who had 15 digs and two aces.

Joshua is on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 11 games, which provided a nice bump to their 24-13 record this season. As for Cleburne, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 11-19.
