Christiansburg extended their winning streak to four on Saturday, bumping their season record up to 6-2 in the process. They came out on top against the Woodrow Wilson Flying Eagles by a score of 7-2. While the Blue Demons didn't have the best season last year (they finished 8-12), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

As for Woodrow Wilson, with the loss, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 7-7. Having soared to a lofty 18 runs in the game before, they couldn't push the score so high this time.

For Woodrow Wilson's part, Tyler Wilhite put in work while hitting and pitching. He tossed three innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits. Wilhite has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in five consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with one triple, one run, and one double.

Wilhite wasn't the only one making solid contact as four players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Maddex Sims, who went 1-for-4 with one stolen base and one run.

Christiansburg didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 15-4 victory against Cave Spring on the 15th. As for Woodrow Wilson, they have also already played their next matchup, a 3-2 win against Margaretta on the 16th.
