Basketball Recap: Make It Four in a Row for Chapman + How To Watch

Chapman hadn't done well against Blue Ridge recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. The Panthers came out on top against the Fighting Tigers by a score of 69-60. While the Panthers didn't have the best season last year (they finished 8-19), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

Chapman was led to victory by Grayden Humphries and Cade St Charles. Humphries went 7-for-16 en route to 24 points, while St Charles shot 50% from the field to rack up 16 points along with eight assists and seven rebounds. Those 16 points gave St Charles a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Hawk Smith, who shot 50% from the field on his way to 11 points.

They weren't the only ones working in the assist department: Chapman was working as a unit and finished the game with 16 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Blue Ridge only racked up six.

Despite the loss, Blue Ridge still got an impressive performance from Ty'Korian Campbell, who dropped a double-double with 23 points and 14 boards. Campbell is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed three or more in each of the last three games he's played. Alton Every was another key player, putting up 16 points and three steals.

The win keeps Chapman at an undefeated 4-0. The victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they've averaged 63.5 points this season. As for Blue Ridge, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-4.

Looking ahead, Chapman will be home for the holidays to greet Greenville H at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Blue Ridge will take on St. Joseph's Catholic in a holiday battle at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
