Softball Recap: Camden Comes Up Short

After soaring to 14 runs the game before, Camden was a bit more limited in their matchup on Wednesday. They fell 5-2 to the Lugoff-Elgin Demons. The Bulldogs were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Demons earlier this season, when they won 3-1.

Camden has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-8 record this season. As for Lugoff-Elgin, their win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 8-11.

Camden wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 9-8 loss against Dreher on the 24th. As for Lugoff-Elgin, they will be playing at home against A.C. Flora at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. The Falcons' pitching crew has only allowed 4.1 runs per game this season, so the Demons' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
