Volleyball Recap: Brookside's Win Ends Six-Game Losing Streak at Home

Brookside's game on Saturday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. They blew past the Clearview Clippers 3-0. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-0 back in August.

The match finished with set scores of 25-8, 25-12, 25-16.

Brookside found their leader in sophomore Sydney Adkins, who had nine aces and three digs. Those nine aces set a new season-high mark for Adkins. Another player making a difference was Violet Schremp, who had six kills, four digs, and four aces.

Brookside was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 23 aces. That's the most aces they've managed all season.

Brookside's win ended a six-game drought at home and bumped them up to 6-9. As for Clearview, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-13.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Brookside is set to face off against their familiar foe Columbia at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Clearview will challenge rival Black River at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
