Soccer Recap: Tri-County Falls to Amherst in First Game of Season

Tri-County unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-pitch advantage in their season opener. They came up short against the Amherst Falcons on Tuesday, falling 8-0. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Tri-County of the 7-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September of 2024.

The victory (which was Amherst's third in a row) raised their record to 3-0.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Tri-County is set to square off against their familiar foe Columbus Catholic at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Amherst will challenge rival Newman at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday.
