Baseball Game Preview: Fall River Bulldogs vs. Modoc Braves

For the second straight game, Fall River will face off against Modoc. The Bulldogs will face off against the Braves at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. The teams are rolling into the game with opposing streaks: Fall River has struggled recently with ten defeats in a row, while Modoc will arrive with three straight victories.

Things were looking good for Fall River after they put the first runs on the board on Tuesday, but unfortunately for them things went downhill from there. They lost 15-4 to Modoc. Bulldogs fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team's lost against the Braves since on Tuesday.

For Modoc's part, Adin Benson was incredible, scoring three runs and stealing four bases while getting on base in four of his five plate appearances. That's the most runs Benson has posted since back in March. Another player making a difference was Sam McCandless, who scored a run and stole two bases while going 2-for-4.

Modoc's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 11-2. The road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.0 runs over those games. As for Fall River, their loss dropped their record down to 1-10.
