Softball Recap: Green Hope Falcons vs. Franklinton Red Rams
Green Hope was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They fell 17-13 to the Franklinton Red Rams.
Sophia Cerneka was cooking despite her team's loss, going 3-for-5 with four RBI, two runs, and one triple. The team also got some help courtesy of Josselyn DeSantis, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 3-for-5.
Cerneka wasn't the only one working in the hit department: Green Hope kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. This was only their first loss (out of five games) when they post 11 or more hits.
Green Hope's loss dropped their record down to 4-6. As for Franklinton, their record now sits at 6-3.
Green Hope wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, a 9-8 win against Green Level on the 25th. As for Franklinton, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, an 11-0 defeat against Southern Nash on the 25th.
