East Carter extended their winning streak to four on Friday, bumping their season record up to 16-4 in the process. Everything went their way against the Lewis County Lions as they made off with a 13-3 victory. The Raiders might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won ten contests by ten runs or more this season.
Payton Rice was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, tossing five innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off six hits. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than one walk in four consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with two runs and one RBI.
In other batting news, Brynlee Walker was a standout: she went a perfect 4-for-4 with two stolen bases, three runs, and one triple. That's the most hits she has posted since back in March.
