Basketball Recap: Elk River Comes Up Short

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Elk River can now relate to. They had to suffer through an 80-51 loss at the hands of the St. Michael-Albertville Knights. While losing is never fun, the Elks can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Minnesota basketball rankings (they are ranked 183rd, while the Knights are ranked 19th).

Elk River's defeat dropped their record down to 8-20. As for St. Michael-Albertville, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 17-9.

As of now, neither Elk River nor St. Michael-Albertville have any future games scheduled.
