Football Game Preview: Battle Creek Braves vs. Cedar Catholic Trojans

Battle Creek and Cedar Catholic are an even 5-5 against one another since September of 2016, but not for long. The Braves will host the Trojans at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Battle Creek played against Oakland-Craig on Friday and won via forfeit.

Battle Creek will be up against a hot Cedar Catholic team: the squad just extended their winning streak to five. The Trojans took down West Point-Beemer 24-7 on Friday. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Trojans' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Nebraska football rankings (they are ranked 20th, while the Cadets are ranked 64th).

The win was their first on the road , bumping their record up to 2-3. As for Cedar Catholic, their victory bumped their record up to 5-0.

Battle Creek couldn't quite get it done against Cedar Catholic in their previous meeting back in October of 2024 as they fell 21-14. Thankfully for the Braves, Braeden Reifenrath (who rushed for 95 yards and a pair of scores) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result?
