Volleyball Recap: Make It Seven in a Row for Hillcrest

Hillcrest had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They put the hurt on the Lakeland Hawks with a sharp 3-0 win on Saturday. The victory was nothing new for the Knights as they're now sitting on seven straight.

Ali Maddux was a one-woman wrecking crew as she had 23 digs and five assists. She has been hot for a while, having posted ten or more digs the last 18 times she's played. Cambri Rencher also deserves some recognition as she posted her first assist of the season.

Hillcrest's win bumped their record up to 28-6. As for Lakeland, they moved to 13-10 with that defeat, which also ended their six-match winning streak.

Coincidentally, Hillcrest and Lakeland will both be playing Shelley the next time they take the court. The Hawks will head out to face the Russets at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, while the Knights will play them later in the day, at 4:00 p.m.
