Clinton Central takes loss despite strong efforts from Luke Davison and Creed Mennen

Recap: Clinton Central Bulldogs vs. Eastern Comets

The Clinton Central Bulldogs's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their fourth straight loss. They were beaten by Eastern 74-45. While losing is never fun, Clinton Central can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Indiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 430th, while Eastern is ranked 203rd).

Clinton Central's loss came despite strong showings from Creed Mennen and Luke Davison. Mennen scored 14 points, while Davison scored 12 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Lane Davis, who scored seven points.

Clinton Central's loss dropped their record down to 1-8. As for Eastern, the victory (which was their eighth in a row) raised their record to 9-4.

Clinton Central will be staying on the road on Thursday to face off against Taylor at 7:30 p.m. on January 11th. Eastern won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Oak Hill at 6:00 p.m. on January 6th. One thing working in Oak Hill's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last three matchups.
