It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Maclay had no problem doing just that on Monday. Their defense stepped up to hand the Franklin County Seahawks a 7-0 shutout. The Marauders might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 13 matchups by three goals or more this season.

They hit Franklin County with a four-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Luke Daunt (3), Zac Scovotto (2), Grayson Stephens, and Gavin Slocum.

Maclay's victory bumped their record up to 15-1-2. As for Franklin County, the loss snapped their winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 5-10-5 record.

Maclay didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next game, an 8-0 win against Taylor County on the 29th. Franklin County does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
