Softball Preview: Cleveland Central Wolves vs. Gentry Rams        
        
		
            
 Cleveland Central is 6-0 against Gentry since April of 2015, and they'll have a chance to extend that success  in Monday's  first game. The Cleveland Central Wolves will head out on the road to  take on  the Gentry Rams at 4:00  p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
 Cleveland Central had already won eight in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 14.1 runs), and they went ahead and made it nine in Monday's  second game. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Tigers  a   20-0 shutout. Give Cleveland Central's pitching crew some credit: that's the team's third straight shutout.
  Callie Henderson and  Katie Waldbieser made a splash while hitting and pitching. Throwing,  Henderson   tossed  an inning while giving up   no  earned runs or  hits (she also didn't allow any  walks).  In other batting news,  Riley Clark Rocconi was a standout: she went 3-for-3 with four  RBI, two  runs,  and a  triple. The team also got some help courtesy of  Taliyah Thomas, who  scored three  runs and  stole four bases while going 2-for-2.
 Meanwhile,  even though Greenville scored an imposing 19 runs last Thursday, Gentry still came out on top. Gentry put the hurt on Greenville with a sharp  27-19 win. The  victory made it back-to-back  wins for Gentry.
 Cleveland Central pushed their record up to 16-8-1 with that  victory, which was their fourth straight  on the road. Those victories were due in large part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 16.3 runs per game. As for Gentry, their win bumped their record up to 6-1.
 Cleveland Central took their  victory against Gentry  in their previous meeting  back in April of 2017 by a conclusive  14-0. Will Cleveland Central repeat their success,  or does  Gentry have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
