The New Riegel Blue Jackets entered their tilt with the Gibsonburg Golden Bears with three consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with four. New Riegel secured a 46-40 W over Gibsonburg on Thursday. That's another feather in the cap for New Riegel, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Despite the loss, Gibsonburg still got an impressive performance from Jake Hall, who scored ten points along with eight rebounds. Another player making a difference was Camden Mooney, who scored six points.
New Riegel's victory bumped their record up to 8-3. As for Gibsonburg, they dropped their record down to 8-7 with that loss, which was their third straight on the road.
New Riegel will face off against Hopewell-Loudon at 6:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for Gibsonburg, they will be playing at home against Old Fort at 6:30 p.m. on Saturday. Old Fort knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past six contests -- so hopefully Gibsonburg likes a good challenge.
