While Taft's win against Chavez wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Wildcats narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the Titans 15-12. The win was some much needed relief for the Wildcats as it spelled an end to their four-game losing streak.
One reason for the win was Taft's imposing defense, which managed to get into the backfield for three sacks. Fernando Guzman was especially locked on to Chavez's QB and sacked him twice.
