Baseball Recap: Lyman's Losing Streak Is a Thing of the Past

Lyman took a ten-run loss the last time they faced off against Hagerty, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Greyhounds never let the Huskies get on the board and left with a 1-0 win on Thursday. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Greyhounds as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.

Dawson Reeves tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only one hit over five innings pitched. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Lyman is 3-1 when he allows at most two earned runs, but 4-16 otherwise.

On the hitting side, Lyman saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Keegan Cusick, who went 2-for-3 with one RBI.

Lyman's win bumped their record up to 7-17. As for Hagerty, they moved to 21-3-1 with that defeat, which also ended their three-game winning streak.

Coming up, Lyman will take on East River at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Hagerty does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
