Volleyball Recap: Rocklin Falls Despite Big Games from Donovan Kuwazaki and Ziyi Yang

Rocklin was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Northgate Broncos.

Ziyi Yang and Donovan Kuwazaki certainly did their best on Saturday to avoid the loss. Yang had nine digs and one assist, while Kuwazaki had six digs and three assists. That's the most assists Kuwazaki has posted over his last seven contests.

Rocklin's loss dropped their record down to 4-10. As for Northgate, the victory (which was their 16th in a row) raised their record to 20-1.

Coincidentally, Rocklin and Northgate will both be playing Pleasant Grove the next time they take the court. Rocklin will head out to face Pleasant Grove at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday, while Northgate will play them later in the day, at 10:00 a.m.
