Softball Recap: Benicia Finds Playoff Glory Versus Petaluma

It's playoff time, and Benicia had no trouble coming through when it counted. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Petaluma Trojans a 3-0 shutout on Friday. Winning may never get old, but the Panthers sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.

Not much got past Alana Robinson, who gave up just three hits and racked up seven Ks to keep Petaluma off the board. Robinson has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Ava Rojas was excellent, going 2-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.

Benicia's victory bumped their record up to 16-10. As for Petaluma, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 17-9 record this season.

As of now, neither Benicia nor Petaluma have any future games scheduled.
