The Centennial Golden Hawks will take on the Stockdale Mustangs at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Centennial will be looking to extend their current seven-game winning streak.
Centennial's pitching crew heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Friday. They blew past Liberty 11-0.
Reese Stover and Madison Cabrera made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, Stover pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. Meanwhile, Cabrera pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. Stover has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two walks in ten consecutive appearances. At the plate, Stover went a perfect 3-for-3 with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI, while Cabrera went 2-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one double. Those three hits gave Stover a new career-high.
In other pitching news, Brynlee George looked comfortable as she tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't given up more than two walks in ten consecutive appearances.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Stockdale). Everything went their way against Ridgeview on Monday as they made off with a 20-0 win. The Mustangs haven't had any issues with the Wolf Pack recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive victory against them.
Centennial's win bumped their record up to 15-7. As for Stockdale, their victory bumped their record up to 16-5.
Centennial was able to grind out a solid win over Stockdale when the teams last played back in April of 2024, winning 8-3. Will the Golden Hawks repeat their success, or do the Mustangs have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
