Basketball Game Preview: Bloomfield Bees vs. Randolph Cardinals

The Bloomfield Bees will take on the Randolph Cardinals at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Randolph took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Bloomfield, who comes in off a win.

Last Friday, Bloomfield beat Plainview 51-38.

Bloomfield's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Kysa Loecker, who posted 13 points. Peyton Eisenhauer was another key player, putting up ten points.

Meanwhile, Randolph was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 14th straight defeat. They had to suffer through a 56-14 loss at the hands of Wausa. The Cardinals were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 36-8.

Delayne Thelen was Randolph's leading scorer, having posted six points. Kynlee Winkelbauer held things down on the boards with seven rebounds. Lilly Kuchta took the lead distributing the ball, coming up with three assists.

Randolph's loss dropped their record down to 0-14. As for Bloomfield, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight contests, which provided a nice bump to their 7-5 record this season.

Rebounding is likely to be a big factor in this contest: Bloomfield has been smashing the glass this season, having averaged 34.2 boards per game. However, it's not like Randolph struggles in that department as they've been averaging 20.9 rebounds. With both teams battling to corral missed shots, we'll see if one team can grab an edge.
