Basketball Recap: Wheaton Comes Up Short

Wheaton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They took a hard 63-48 fall against the Sarcoxie Bears. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bulldogs this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 57-51 back in December of 2024.

Wheaton's defeat dropped their record down to 1-12. As for Sarcoxie, they now have a winning record of 5-4.

Wheaton is taking a road trip to challenge Pierce City at 6:00 p.m. on January 14th. As for Sarcoxie, they will host Jefferson Independent Day at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
