League recap: Hamilton win leads to rise in state rank

Hamilton moved up to 197 from 230 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in West Jersey - Valley. The Hornets climbed the ranks as a result of a 34-0 win over Princeton.

Steinert was the team that gained the most ground in the standings this week, jumping from fifth to third in the league. The Spartans defeated Trenton Central 20-14 earlier in the week.

Allentown's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Redbirds feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Nick Palladino has thrown for 551 yards and seven touchdowns this season, while Jake Lewis has nine catches for 224 yards. Norman Williams leads the league in rushing with 295 yards.

A big matchup in West Jersey - Valley this week will be when Hamilton takes on Nottingham. Tom Hoglen's team is currently in sixth, while the Northstars are in first.

Nottingham extended the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating West Windsor-Plainsboro North, 55-6. The victory was the fourth in a row for Jon Adams's team.
