Softball Recap: Carrollton School of the Sacred Heart Turns Things Around After Road Loss

There's no place like home for Carrollton School of the Sacred Heart, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Tuesday. They put the hurt on Lourdes Academy with a sharp 11-4 win on Monday. The Cyclones might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five matches by seven runs or more this season.

Madelyn Althage spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned (and one unearned) runs on seven hits. She has been consistent : she hasn't given up more than two walks any time she's pitched this season.

At the plate, Allyson Wolfson was a standout: she scored two runs while going 3-for-5. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-high in doubles (two). Another player making a difference was Grace Diez, who went 2-for-5 with two runs, one triple, and one double.
