Basketball Recap: Henry Smith Key Part of Team Effort in Mavericks Win

Marvin Ridge won the last time they faced Cuthbertson and things went their way on Wednesday too. The Marvin Ridge Mavericks took down the Cuthbertson Cavaliers 71-53. That's two games straight that the Mavericks have won by exactly 18 points.

Marvin Ridge got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Henry Smith out in front who went 6-for-10 to rack up 17 points. Thanks to that strong game, Smith now owns an excellent 40.6% three-point shooting accuracy. Brady Dunn was another key player, putting up ten points and eight assists.

Marvin Ridge was working as a unit and finished the game with 22 assists. That's the most assists they've posted since back in December of 2024.

Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 69.3 points over those games. As for Cuthbertson, their defeat dropped their record down to 13-9.
