Volleyball Recap: Clyde Puts Losing Streak Behind Them

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Huron, Clyde was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They blew past the Sandusky Blue Streaks 3-0. That looming 3-0 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Fliers yet this season.

While Clyde won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the second set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-15, 25-23, 25-18.

Amiyah Paul paced Clyde's offense, picking up ten kills. Paul got some help from Kelsey Ray and her 12 assists. Ray was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.

The victory snapped Clyde's losing streak at seven games and leaves them with a 4-9 record. As for Sandusky, they are on a 13-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-7.

Looking ahead, Clyde will square off against St. Joseph Central Catholic at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Sandusky has already played their next matchup (against Start), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
