Papillion-LaVista faced Millard North in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Friday. The Monarchs came out on top against the Mustangs by a score of 5-1. Winning may never get old, but the Monarchs sure are getting used to it with their sixth in a row.

Landyn Albrecht made a big impact no matter where he played. He pitched seven innings while giving up just one earned run off eight hits. Albrecht was also big at the plate, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with one stolen base and one run.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Isaac Pamaran, who went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI. That's the most stolen bases he has posted over his last ten matchups. Easton Schneider was another key player, going 3-for-4 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one double.

Papillion-LaVista's victory bumped their record up to 12-5. As for Millard North, their defeat dropped their record down to 12-6.
