Volleyball Recap: Natalie Chen Leads a Balanced Effort to Beat Mountain View + How To Watch

There's no place like home for Homestead, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Mountain View Spartans on Thursday. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-0 back in September.

The win didn't come easy: Mountain View scored at least 20 points in every set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-22, 25-20, 25-23.

Homestead's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Natalie Chen, who had 17 digs and one assist. Chen is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 14 or more in each of the last six games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Zsofi Timar, who had 13 digs and one assist.

Homestead is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-7 record this season. As for Mountain View, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-9.

Homestead wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 2-1 win against Amador Valley on the 11th. As for Mountain View, they have also already played their next match, a 2-0 victory against MacDonald on the 11th.
