Grandview Prep extends home winning streak to 14

Recap: Grandview Prep Pride vs. Boca Raton Bobcats

The Grandview Prep Pride waltzed into their match on Friday with six straight wins but they left with seven. They walked away with a 61-52 win over Boca Raton. That's two games straight that Grandview Prep has won by exactly nine points.

Grandview Prep's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Marco Jordonne, who scored 23 points along with five rebounds and four steals. Jordonne is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 15 or more in the last three games he's played. Marcson Jordonne was another key contributor, scoring 14 points along with three steals.

When it comes to explaining why Boca Raton lost, one person who can't be blamed is Brendan Mahoney. Despite the final result, he scored 15 points along with eight rebounds and five blocks. The team also got some help courtesy of Henry Harris, who scored eight points along with six rebounds.

Grandview Prep's win was their 14th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 15-3. As for Boca Raton, their loss dropped their record down to 10-7.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Grandview Prep will stay at home for another game and welcome Trinity Christian Academy at 6:30 p.m. on January 30th. Trinity Christian Academy will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Florida Rankings (they are ranked 378th, while Grandview Prep is ranked 187th). As for Boca Raton, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Atlantic at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Atlantic's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last eight matchups.
