Softball Recap: Archbishop Mitty Gets the Win

Archbishop Mitty won the last time they faced Branham and things went their way on Monday too. The Monarchs walked away with a 3-0 victory over the Bruins. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Monarchs.

Nobody will forget Kyleigh Mace's heroic performance anytime soon (especially Branham's batters): she turned in a perfect game. Mace has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in 15 consecutive appearances.

Archbishop Mitty's record now sits at 19-3. As for Branham, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last eight contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 10-9 record this season.

Archbishop Mitty will face off against Presentation at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Panthers have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 7.5 runs per game on average), something the Monarchs will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Branham, they will challenge Santa Teresa at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
