Softball Recap: Mountain View Triumphs

Mountain View's tournament run continued when they took on Skyline on Friday. The Mountain View Bruins sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 10-8 win over the Skyline Eagles.

The team relied heavily on Miranda Secrist, who scored three runs and stole Two bases. while going 3-for-3. The dominant performance gave her a new career-high in hits. Sophie Stoddard was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-3.

Secrist wasn't the only one working in the hit department: Mountain View kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in six consecutive matches.

Mountain View now has a winning record of 4-3. As for Skyline, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-4.

Looking ahead, Mountain View will challenge Needles at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. The last three games Mountain View has played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. As for Skyline, they will square off against Green Valley at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. Green Valley is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 10.6 runs per game this season.
