Volleyball Recap: Rock Hill Has No Trouble Against Northwestern

Rock Hill not only won on Tuesday, but they posted their biggest win since October 10, 2024 (when they won 3-0). They blew past the Northwestern Trojans 3-0. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Bearcats also won the last time the pair played back in October of 2024.

Rock Hill never let Northwestern on the board, but things got pretty close in the third set. The final score came out to 25-19, 25-20, 25-22.

Cale Mitrovich paced Rock Hill's offense, picking up 18 kills. Mitrovich got some help from Ethan Missaggia and his 35 assists. Finally, Josh Helms kept Rock Hill's defense grounded, leading the team with three blocks.

Rock Hill's win bumped their record up to 3-4. As for Northwestern, they are on a 14-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-5.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Rock Hill will take on rival Catawba Ridge at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Northwestern is set to face off against their familiar foe Indian Land at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
