2A Conference 13 recap October 22, 2013
Northeastern extended the longest winning streak in 2A Conference 13 this week by beating Pasquotank, 43-6. The victory was the fourth in a row for the Eagles.
Currituck County took down Bertie 46-0 last week, the largest margin of any game.
Quaymon Williams threw for 228 yards and 3 touchdowns. He was 12-19 with 1 interception.
Wyatt Robertson was the most successful running back in the league this week. He ran for 89 yards on 19 carries as First Flight defeated the Panthers. Alex Monaco also contributed to the rushing game with 29 yards on the ground.
Leading the league in both passing and receiving yards, Antonio Moore's team's Williams and McWilliams have proven to be a lethal combination. Williams has thrown for 2,007 yards this season, while McWilliams has 49 catches for 824 yards. The Nighthawks' Robertson leads the league in rushing yards with 825.
At the moment, the Eagles are in first, while Hertford County is in fourth.
