Oak Hills is a perfect 10-0 against Burroughs since April of 2021 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Bulldogs will head out on the road to face off against the Burros at 3:15 p.m. Oak Hills is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.5 runs per game this season.
Oak Hills is probably headed into the game with a chip on their shoulder considering Sultana just ended the team's five-game winning streak on Tuesday. They fell just short of the Sultans by a score of 6-5.
CARSYN LEON was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: she pitched 4.1 innings while giving up just two earned (and two unearned) runs off four hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in six consecutive appearances.

At the plate, KAYLA CAZARES made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. She is on a roll when it comes to home runs, as she's now launched at least one in each of the last three games she's played. AMAYA SIGALA was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two RBI.
Meanwhile, after only one run in their last match, Burroughs made sure to put some runs up on the board against Hesperia on Tuesday. The Burros blew past the Scorpions 15-2. The result was nothing new for the Burros, who have now won six contests by ten runs or more so far this season.
Isabella Farinha made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She struck out six batters over five innings while giving up just two earned runs off four hits (and not a single walk). Farinha was also stellar in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with one home run, four runs, and two stolen bases. Those four runs gave her a new career-high.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Lorrain Gamble, who went 4-for-5 with four runs, two triples, and two RBI. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in March. Hailey Parks also deserves some recognition as she snagged her first stolen base of the season.
Burroughs always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .600. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Hesperia only posted an OBP of .190.
Burroughs' win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 6-13. As for Oak Hills, they now have a losing record of 8-9.
Thursday's game might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Oak Hills has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .432. However, it's not like Burroughs struggles in that department as they've averaged .465. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Everything went Oak Hills' way against Burroughs in their previous matchup two weeks ago, as Oak Hills made off with a 14-8 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Bulldogs since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
