Beaumont extended their home winning streak to nine games thanks to a huge performance from Joseph Gomez. The Cougars won by a set and slipped past the Redlands Terriers 3-2 for which the team can thank Gomez, who had 32 assists and eight digs. He is on a roll when it comes to assists, as he's now posted 21 or more in each of the last eight games he's played.

Beaumont had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first two sets, they turned around to win the next three. The final score came out to 20-25, 19-25, 25-22, 25-17, 18-16.

Beaumont is on a roll lately: they've won 15 of their last 16 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-4 record this season. As for Redlands, their defeat ended a six-game streak of away wins and brought them to 16-6.
